I am co-organizing the mini-symposium entitled «Multiscale and multifunctional composites: design and identification»  in the 13th International Symposium on Multiscale, Multifunctional and Functionally Graded Materials (MM&FGM2014) with Dr. Gilles Lubineau at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

The purpose of this mini symposium is to gather leading researchers in the area of multiscale and multifunctional composites to discuss design strategies (both experimental and/or computational) for achieving multifunctional composites materials which have the potential to dramatically improve system-level performance and efficiency. Full description is available here: http://fgm2014.poli.usp.br/node/36

The MM&FGM2014 will be held at Sao Paulo, Brazil, October 19 – 22, 2014. If you are interested in the mini-symposium, please submit an abstract through the following website: http://fgm2014.poli.usp.br/welcome . Note that abstracts can be submitted starting from November 1st, 2013 to February 1st, 2014.

I am looking forward to seeing you at Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2014!
